Terms of Service

By using OKSLOP, you agree to these terms.

Last updated: March 20, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, downloading from, or otherwise using OKSLOP("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our License, our AI Disclosure, and our Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Agreement"). If you do not agree to any part of this Agreement, you must not use the Service.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years of age to use OKSLOP. If you are between 13 and 16 years of age, you may only use OKSLOP with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by this Agreement. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements. OKSLOP does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

3. Description of Service

OKSLOP is a platform that provides AI-generated stock photography for download and use. All images on OKSLOP are created using artificial intelligence and are not intended to depict real people, places, or events. Contributor names, image titles, tags, and descriptions are part of our creative pipeline — any resemblance to real artists, photographers, brands, or other real-world names is purely coincidental and unintentional.

4. License to Use Images

Images downloaded from OKSLOP are licensed under the OKSLOP License. You are granted a broad, royalty-free license to use images for commercial and non-commercial purposes. Please review the full License page for details, including restrictions.

5. User Accounts

Some features of OKSLOP may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service or any images for any unlawful purpose
  • Use images to cause harm to any person, group, or entity, including but not limited to harassment, defamation, fraud, misinformation, discrimination, or intimidation
  • Use images to deceive others or to create misleading content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to download images in bulk without prior written permission
  • Compile images from OKSLOP to create a competing service
  • Use images in a way that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Resell or redistribute images without significant modification
  • Misrepresent AI-generated images as real photographs in contexts where this distinction matters (e.g., journalism, legal proceedings)
  • Use images in connection with any political campaign, propaganda, or disinformation

For a detailed list of prohibited content categories and enforcement procedures, see our Acceptable Use Policy.

7. Studio Creators — AI Content Generation

If you use OKSLOP's studio features to create, train, direct, or manage AI artists ("Sloppies") that generate images on the platform, the following additional terms apply:

7.1 Your Responsibility for Generated Content

You are the publisher of all images generated through your studio account. Each image produced by your AI artists must be manually reviewed and approved by you before it is published to the OKSLOPlibrary. By approving an image for publication, you confirm that:

  • You have personally reviewed the image and believe it is suitable for publication
  • The image does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks
  • The image does not depict content that could reasonably be identified as a specific real person without that person's consent
  • You accept full responsibility for the content published under your account

You are solely and entirely responsible for investigating and ensuring that you have the right to publish each image. AI models used through the Service may produce imagery that resembles copyrighted artwork, trademarked brands, recognizable characters, or the likenesses of real people. Any such resemblance is your responsibility to identify and address before approving publication.

7.2 Reference Images and Source Material

If you upload images, photographs, or other media as reference material, style inspiration, or training input for your AI artists, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the rights to the uploaded material, or have obtained all necessary licenses and permissions to use it for this purpose
  • The uploaded material does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
  • You grant OKSLOP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process the uploaded material solely for the purpose of providing the AI generation service
  • You understand that uploaded reference material may influence AI outputs in unpredictable ways, and that this does not create any rights in the resulting generated images for the original rights holders of the reference material

7.3 Waiver of Claims on Generated Content

Images generated through your studio and published to the OKSLOPlibrary are licensed under the same OKSLOP License as all other images on the platform. By publishing images through your studio, you agree that:

  • Published images become part of the OKSLOP library and are freely available to all users under the OKSLOP License
  • You waive any exclusive rights to images published through your studio — they are contributed to the commons
  • You cannot withdraw published images from the library except through OKSLOP's content removal procedures
  • OKSLOP may remove, modify, or restrict access to any image at any time, at its sole discretion

7.4 Trademark and Brand Awareness

You acknowledge and understand that AI models may generate content that contains elements resembling trademarks, brand logos, trade dress, distinctive packaging, or other protected brand identifiers. Such resemblances are an inherent characteristic of generative AI technology, not a feature of the Service. It is your entire responsibility to:

  • Review all generated content for potential trademark or brand similarities before approving publication
  • Refrain from deliberately directing AI artists to reproduce trademarked or copyrighted material
  • Promptly remove or report any content you discover may infringe third-party rights
  • Respond to and cooperate with any takedown requests or legal inquiries related to content published through your studio

7.5 Content Moderation

OKSLOP operates automated and manual content moderation systems. However, as the publisher of your studio's content, you are the primary line of defense. OKSLOP reserves the right to:

  • Remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law
  • Suspend or terminate studio accounts that repeatedly publish infringing or problematic content
  • Implement automated filters that may prevent certain content from being published
  • Cooperate with rights holders and law enforcement as required by applicable law

7.6 Indemnification for Studio Content

In addition to the general indemnification in Section 19, as a studio creator you specifically agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OKSLOP from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from content generated through and published by your studio, including but not limited to claims of intellectual property infringement, trademark violation, right of publicity violations, or any other claims by third parties related to your studio's published content.

8. Generative Content and Limitations

OKSLOP content — including images, contributor profiles, titles, descriptions, and tags — is produced through generative AI pipelines. You acknowledge and understand that:

  • Generative AI outputs are inherently unpredictable and may contain unintended resemblances to real people, artists, characters, brands, or copyrighted works
  • Any such resemblance is accidental and does not imply any association with or endorsement by any real person or entity
  • Automated validation layers, including AI agents and content filters, are limited in scope and cannot catch every potential issue
  • If you interact with generative features on the platform (such as requesting images, edits, or prompts), you are solely responsible for reviewing the output
  • OKSLOP bears no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any AI-generated content

9. Community Content and User Interactions

OKSLOP includes community features where users may publish content, interact with other users' studios, and participate in briefs and other collaborative activities. You acknowledge that:

  • Content published by other users — including AI-generated images, studio profiles, and artist descriptions — is not endorsed, verified, or guaranteed by OKSLOP
  • Community-generated AI content may not be suitable for all audiences and may contain unexpected, surprising, or objectionable material despite moderation efforts
  • By using the Service, you accept that you may encounter AI-generated content that you find objectionable, and you agree to use the reporting tools rather than holding OKSLOP liable
  • You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for any content you publish or share through the platform

10. Brand Brief Partnerships

OKSLOP may facilitate creative briefs in partnership with third-party brands ("Brand Briefs"). If you participate in a Brand Brief as a studio creator:

  • Your submissions are subject to the same OKSLOP License as all other content on the platform
  • The partner brand receives a limited first-look period but does not acquire exclusive rights to your submissions
  • Brand attribution ("In partnership with [Brand]") may be displayed on your images' detail pages
  • You may not separately negotiate with or provide exclusive content to the brand partner outside of the OKSLOP platform for content generated through the Brief

If you are a brand participating in a Brand Brief, separate partnership terms may apply. Contact brands@okslop.com for details.

11. Reporting Problematic Content

If you encounter any content on OKSLOP that you believe is problematic — including content that resembles a real person, infringes on intellectual property, contains inappropriate material, or is otherwise objectionable — please report it promptly to report@okslop.com. We take all reports seriously and will review and address them as quickly as possible.

12. DMCA and Takedown Procedure

OKSLOP respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content on OKSLOP infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent at dmca@okslop.com. Your notice must include:

  • A description of the copyrighted work or intellectual property you believe has been infringed
  • The URL or other specific location on OKSLOP where the material you believe is infringing is located
  • Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid takedown notice, OKSLOP will promptly investigate and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. OKSLOP may also provide the alleged infringer an opportunity to submit a counter-notice.

Repeat infringer policy: In accordance with the DMCA,OKSLOP has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. Three valid takedown notices against the same account may result in permanent termination. We reserve the right to accelerate this process for willful or egregious infringement.

For the full takedown procedure, counter-notification process, and details about our repeat infringer policy, see our DMCA Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

The OKSLOP name, logo, website design, and all non-image content are owned by OKSLOP and protected by intellectual property laws. The image license granted to you does not extend to our trademarks, branding, or website code.

14. Content Availability

OKSLOP reserves the right to remove, modify, or disable access to any image or other content on the platform at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, removal in response to takedown requests, legal obligations, policy violations, or at OKSLOP's sole discretion. OKSLOP does not guarantee that any specific image or content will remain available on the platform.

15. AI Content Disclosure Laws

Various jurisdictions — including the European Union (AI Act), certain U.S. states, and other regions — have enacted or are enacting regulations that require disclosure when content is AI-generated. If you download and republish, redistribute, or otherwise share OKSLOPimages, it is your sole responsibility to comply with all applicable AI content disclosure and labeling requirements in your jurisdiction.OKSLOP provides AI-generation metadata with its images, but cannot guarantee that this metadata meets the specific requirements of every jurisdiction.

16. API Usage

Access to the OKSLOP API is subject to separate API Terms. Unauthorized use of the API, including exceeding rate limits or using it to build competing services, may result in termination of access.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all images are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. OKSLOP does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

All images are AI-generated. OKSLOP makes no representations or warranties regarding: (a) the suitability of any image for any particular purpose; (b) whether any image is free from resemblances to real people, fictional characters, trademarks, copyrighted works, or other protected content; (c) whether any image is suitable for editorial, commercial, or any other specific use; or (d) the legal status of any image in any jurisdiction.

No rights related to intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or trademarks have been cleared for any image. You are solely responsible for determining whether an image is appropriate for your intended use and for obtaining any additional rights or permissions that may be required. You use the images entirely at your own risk.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OKSLOP, its owners, operators, contributors, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, reputation, business opportunities, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with: (a) your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service or any images; (b) any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal claims related to your use of any image; (c) any resemblance of any image to any real person, character, brand, or location; or (d) any other matter relating to the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even ifOKSLOP has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OKSLOP and its owners, operators, contributors, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service or any images; (b) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; (c) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (d) any claim that your use of an image caused damage to a third party.

20. Modifications to Terms

OKSLOP reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

21. Termination

OKSLOP may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. The image license for previously downloaded images survives termination.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days of written notice, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the Canadian Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, with the seat of arbitration in Toronto, Ontario.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.

Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

23. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

24. Entire Agreement

This Agreement — consisting of these Terms of Service, the License, the AI Disclosure, the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the DMCA Policy — constitutes the entire agreement between you and OKSLOP regarding your use of the Service, and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding the Service.
